We have our own professional sound and lighting systems, and we custom design our playing, lighting, and sound layout for each performance according to the setting and the contractor's needs. We typically play 3 to 4 sets of about 45-50 minutes each, depending on the engagement, with a 10-15 minute break in between. We start and end on time, and feel it's unprofessional to take long, extended breaks between sets. We are there to play for people, not hang out!
FMP uses mostly Carvin components in its sound system, with a full compliment of main speakers, stage monitors, mixers, and other PA elements. We always come prepared with recorded transition music to play during between-set breaks.
We have various portable lighting options, including colored light bars, synced lighting, and single spots. In smaller venues we utilize house lighting and add our gear as needed.
Doug uses mostly Fender guitars and amps, including his prized blue custom 50th Anniversary Strat. Most of the time he uses a blackface reissue Fender Super Reverb or a vintage Vibrolux to get his tone.

Dan plays a Selmer Mark VII tenor saxophone made in Paris, France. This is a very special instrument... hard to find, and able to put out some killer tones.

Teri plays a custom Fender Jazz bass through a G-K head and several sets of speakers.

Rob plays any one of several standard high-end drum kits (he is a collector, and has, um, let's say "a ridiculous number" of drum kits and parts). Rob also has a complete set of drum mics and uses these depending on the size of the venue.
